All About Sarah

Sarah Bridal Beauty was created by the talented Sarah Frankel Hobbs. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Sarah has always enjoyed styling family and friends. After completing her bachelor’s degree at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Sarah went on to Paul Mitchell’s cosmetology program and decided to grow her interest in special occasion hairstyling. Since obtaining her license, Sarah has taken many advanced classes in hair color, cutting, and styling. Sarah truly enjoys being part of a bride’s wedding day. She looks to fashion, nature, and theater for hair inspiration.

In early 2019 Sarah joined Janene’s Bridal in Alameda, a full-service wedding boutique. It’s here where Sarah used her knowledge of hairstyling and fashion to help brides find accessories that will complement their wedding dress. Sarah learned a full spectrum of what it’s like to find “the” dress, start alterations, and explore the details of accessories.

Sarah is always glowing with excitement when having one-on-one time with a bride. Each experience is so unique.

I connected with Sarah through an event held at Janene’s Bridal. Sarah was very accommodating in working with me as my husband and I chose not to have a large wedding party. Many stylist require a minimum number of clients in a wedding party to travel to your venue location. Due to COVID-19, I had to change my venue three times and Sarah remained flexible and reasurring. We were also unable to do a hair trial prior to my wedding due to her salon being closed through shelter in place, but she did not disappoint!

She arrived early, was professional and ready! Safety was a priority for Sarah and she wore a mask and kept everything clean and sanitized. I had some inspiration pictures of the style I wanted and it came out perfect! Even without our trial, she had brought some hair extensions to give my hair a fuller look and the color was a great match.

Our wedding was on a very windy day and my hair stayed in place was looking gorgeous all night! I am so grateful to have had Sarah as my stylist for my wedding and will be definitely using her again!

Sarah did my wedding hair, as well as my mother's and three bridesmaids. We hired her for five hours, and she not only finished early, but showed up early and was very flexible with styles.

During the trial 'do, she re-did the updo until I was happy with it. Day of, when we were lining up for her to work her magic, Sarah was charming, efficient, and great to work with. All of our hair stayed the whole time.
